Sunday, June 12th .... Today we had a 106 mile ride from Richmond, IN to Marysville, OH. It was a great ride! The weather forecast the night before was high chance of rain. By morning it was possible showers in the afternoon. No rain on the ride. Temps were great and we had a 6 mph tail wind. The ride was over some of the better roads we had seen so far. For the most part we were on county and state roads with minimal traffic. It also took us through the heart of many small towns normally never seen by ordinary travelers. There were many beautiful old homes with beautiful landscaping. I took some photos but they simply do not show what you see with the eye. After about 60 miles we left the state and county roads for US 36. This was much busier with more trucks and cars. Tomorrow we have a 95 mile ride to Wooster, OH I expect much of the same sights as the past days as we move through these out of the way and less traveled areas of the country.
At our first rest stop some of the locals came out and met us with cookies and other treats!
