Thursday, May 26th .... Today was a short ride of 40+ miles!  The winds we saw for the past couple days have calmed.  It was a little in our face but nothing like the past two days!  Our only rest stop was Hooker, OK.  A lot of interesting stories about this town!  It was an easy ride and really enjoyable.  About 4 miles out of Hooker I had a flat tire!  I found a small thorn had punctured the tire.  I fixed it and was off to complete the remaining 16 miles.  I went another 4 miles and again had a flat tire!  This time it turned out to be a small tire wire!  Again, I fixed it and rode the remaining 12 miles.  Enjoyable day less the two flats!

 Wednesday, May 18th .... I finished the day early!  I left the hotel at 7:00 a.m. this morning and was at the next hotel in Grants by 12:30 p.m.  I had my first flat tire but also had the help of two other riders in repairing it.  My average speed was down a bit as the last six miles I just slowed down to see the sights of Grants.  Generally, an easy ride!

 Monday, May 16th .... 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅯𝅘𝅥𝅰 Standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona 𝆔𝅘𝅥𝅲𝅘𝅥𝅰 who doesn't remember Take It Easy by the Eagles!  Lots to do and see in Winslow!  Definitely worth a visit if you are ever out this way! Today was the best ride I've had yet!  I rode over 95 miles and had my best average speed 17.8 mph over the entire ride.  Of course, I had significant downhill plus a following wind to push me along!  However, I was fighting this upper respiratory infection which is not a minor issue! Great day!

 Tuesday, May 17th .... I am in New Mexico!  Good ride after everything settled down!  This guy I'm pictured with is also Bob.  He is the oldest cyclist in the group at age 83!  I am next oldest at 76!  Looks like I've got time to do this ride a few more times until I'm the oldest!
